New Year’s Eve…Sri Lankan style

Sri Lankans, in Toronto, Canada, have something to look forward to, as the old year, 2021, ends.

Yes, they are being given the opportunity to usher in 2022, at a dinner dance, on 31st December, at a banquet hall, in that part of the world.

Presented by The Sri Lanka Anchorman, an English monthly tabloid, ‘Reflections New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance’ will feature the Black Jacks, DJ Reka, DJ Ronnie and guest star Emily Steinwall.

Emily, they say, performed at Madison Square Gardens and was also on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon as a backup singer with Canadian star Alessia Cara.

Says Dirk Tissera, founder, publisher and editor-in-chief of The Sri Lanka Anchorman: “This event is about reflecting on the trying pandemic that we have all had to endure and spreading a message of hope and positivity that life can go on, while also being cognisant and respectful to those that have lost their loved ones due to Covid-19.”

Kiribath and lunumiris will also be a part of this scene….
