New Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies

Prof. A. Abdul Azeez has been appointed the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies (PGS) of the University of Colombo. He joined the University of Colombo in 1991 as a lecturer. He held the post of Professor in Finance and served as the Coordinator of the Doctor of Business Administration Programme of the University and have supervised many doctoral students. He obtained his Ph.D. with specialisation in Finance from the Yokohama National University of Japan. He was also the recipient of the prestigious Japan Foundation Fellowship and conducted his post-doctoral research at the Waseda University in Japan. Prof. Azeez is widely published author in the area of Finance. FGS is one of the leading postgraduate institutions in Sri Lanka managed by a Board of Graduate Studies. He is a past student of Kalmunai Zahira College.
