New Constitution for SLC

Saman Ekanayake, Secretary to the President, yesterday handed over a draft Bill of a new Constitution to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to the Cabinet sub-committee, recently appointed to resolve the issues at hand.

This was done on the instructions of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

The Bill has been drafted by a committee, headed by Justice K.T. Chitrasiri.

The Cabinet sub-committee, chaired by Minister Ali Sabry, consists of Ministers Tiran Alles, Manusha Nanayakkara and Kanchana Wijesekara.
