Nestlé is one of the first F&B companies in Sri Lanka to receive the new “COVID-19 Safety Management System” certification by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI). The certification verifies that Nestlé Lanka’s sites are protected from risk of exposure to COVID-19, and that all recommended safety measures are in place across its activities, products and services.

“As a responsible company that cares deeply for our people, we are working tirelessly to keep our employees, business partners and communities safe during the pandemic. We’re pleased to have our best-in-class safety efforts recognised with this certification. The safety of our people and products are non-negotiable priorities, and we will continue to uphold the strictest hygiene and safety standards in our sites and across the value chain” said Fabrice Cavallin, Nestlé Lanka’s Managing Director.

The company was certified after a comprehensive audit to confirm it had successfully implemented a COVID-19 Safety Management System, in line with the relevant SLSI standard. It will be regularly audited to ensure continued compliance.
