N’cholai plant repaired ahead of schedule

Engineers at the first coal-fired power plant in Norochcholai yesterday connected the second generator to the national grid adding 300 MW to the system after completion of overhaul work.

Norochcholai Power Plant Complex Manager Nalaka Wijekoon said that the boiler had been fixed.

He said the repairs had been completed in 75 days well in advanced of the estimated time frame of 100 days.
