Navy recover Kerala cannabis worth over Rs. 27 Mn in northern waters

During a routine patrol carried out by SLNS Ranawickram in the sea area of Delft on 22nd April Navy personnel recovered 22  packages which were adrift in the waters. The sacks contained about 83kg and 200g (wet weight) of Kerala cannabis and it is suspected that smugglers might have abandoned the consignment due to the naval presence.

The gross street value of seized Kerala cannabis is believed to be over Rs. 27 million.
