Navy nabs suspect with Kerala ganja worth over of Rs. 4 Mn

 A special search operation conducted by the Navy in Pesalai, Mannar, on Saturday, led to the apprehension of a suspect with about 15 kilos of Kerala cannabis.

The search operation was mounted by SLNS Gajaba in the North Central Naval Command with the assistance of the Mannar Police in Pesalai. The coordinated search made way to the apprehension of a suspect with 14. kilos of Kerala cannabis in seven packages, in his possession.

The gross street value of the Kerala cannabis held in this search operation is believed to be over four million rupees.The suspect (34), a resident of Pesalai, together with the Kerala cannabis was handed over to the Mannar Police for onward legal proceedings.
