Navy nabs 04 persons attempting to smuggle Tendu leaves and insecticide in Sinnapadu sea area

A special search operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy in the sea area of Sinnapadu, Puttalam today (13th February 2024) led to the apprehension of 04 persons attempting to smuggle in Tendu leaves weighing over 1177kg (wet weight) and 150 bottles of insecticide.

The suspects along with the seized stock of Tendu leaves and bottles of insecticide were handed over to the Customs Preventive Office in Katunayake for further action.
