Navy helps rescue stranded whale in Puttalam lagoon and guide it back to open waters

The Sri Lanka Navy joined hands with the Department of Wildlife Conservation and the National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA), to rescue a 20 foot long Minke whale stranded in the Puttalam lagoon off the Ippanthivu island and guide it back to the open ocean today (08th August 2023).
