Navy clear blockage under Dodamgoda and Wakwella bridges in Galle

A team of divers and members of the Rapid Action Boat Squadron (RABS) from the Southern Naval Command were mobilized to remove the obstructions beneath the Dodamgoda and Wakwella Bridges on 02nd and 03rd November 2023 . The effort was well supported by the Irrigation Department and Disaster Management Centre.

Their swift action ensured that river water could continue to flow downstream without interruption, effectively preventing a potential flood hazard in the region
