N. U. Jayawardena Charitable Trust donates two electric motorcycles to St. Benedict’s College
The N. U. Jayawardena Charitable Trust last week donated two electric motorcycles to St. Benedict’s College, Colombo 13, to be used in the Technical Education Division of the school.
These motorcycles were imported by the MMBL-Pathfinder Group for a pilot project and are being donated after the completion of the initiative. Desamanya N. U. Jayawardena, was the first Sri Lankan Governor of the Central Bank, a senator, and a leading financier, a news release on the event said.
Mr. Dharmin Perera, son-in-law of Mr. Jayawardena, handed over the motorcycles to Rev. Bro. Niran Perera, Deputy Director of St. Benedict’s College on behalf of the Trust.Mr. K. Balasundaram – Group Director/CEO, MMBL-Pathfinder Group, Mr. Nandana Dewage – Director Operations, Mr. K. D. Liyanage – Director Legal & Secretarial, Mr. A. A. Jawad – Director, Pathfinder Foundation and students were present at this occasion.
