MP Ketagoda resigns for Basil to enter Parliament 

SLPP National List MP Jayantha Ketagoda resigned yesterday to create a vacancy for Basil Rajapaksa to become an MP. His resignation was handed over to Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake in the presence of SLPP General Secretary MP Sagara Kariyawasam, Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga and Rural Roads Development and Other Infrastructure State Minister Nimal Lanza. 

Upon receipt of the letter of resignation, Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake informed the Chairman of the National Election Commission of the SLPP’s National List vacancy.
