Mowbray College Centenary stamp and First Day Cover issuance

The Mowbray College Kandy celebrated another milestone of their centenary journey with the issuance of the centenary stamp and the first day cover. Under the patronage of the Sri Lank Post Philatelic Bureau, this ceremony took place and the first stamps were issued to the Bishop of Kurunagala, Archdeacon, the Manager and the Principal Mrs M Kingsley. This event coincided unveiling of the centenary monument and the Mowbray College walk organized by the College Past Pupil’s Association on Dec 4, 2022. The Mowbray College a member of the Church Missionary School was founded especially for English and Holistic Education of upcountry region girl children in 1922.
