Disney’s A Christmas Carol (2009)

Walt Disney’s rendition of the tale, released in 2009, comes in the form of a 3D animated film, directed by Robert Zemeckis. The film stars Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge and the three spirits, along with Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Bob Hoskins, Robin Wright, Cary Elwes and Fionnula Flanagan. Although this film exhibits a dark tone, unlike the other adaptations of the tale, it has been a seasonal favorite.
