Mount Lavinia Hotel lights up for X’mas
Mount Lavinia Hotel ushered in the season with the traditional grand lighting of the Xmas tree on November 26 2023. Dignitaries, corporate partners, hotel guests and the media attended the event. The tree was lit up by four religious leaders and the U.S. Ambassador Julie Chung against the background of fireworks and melodious performances of the choirs of St.
Sebastian’s College, St. Thomas’ College, St. Sebastian’s College and St. Peter’s College. In the heart warming celebrations that echoed the spirit of giving Mount Lavinia hotel, illuminated this season with the tree lighting ceremony under ageis of the Chief Operating Officer, Anura Dewapura. His presence added a touch of warmth and leadership to the event. His words reasonated with the festive spirit, expressing gratitude for the oportunity to bring joy to all.

Guests gathered around as the majestic tree which was adorned with twinkling lights and shimmering ornaments, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that signified the beginning of the festive season at Mount Lavinia Hotel.

The colour theme for Christmas celebrations at Mount Lavinia hotel is hot pink and silver, with the decorations adorned in these vibrant and festive shades. The choice of colours created a visually captivating and enchanting ambience throughout the hotel, further adding to the joyous spirit of Christmas.
Under the theme of “Christmas around the world”, Mount Lavinia Hotel has planned a series of special events and activities. Throughout the month of December, the hotel will serve country-themed Christmas brunches on Sundays, allowing guests to experience the traditions and cultures of different countries. Each meal will be meticulously crafted to showcase the unique flavours and culinary delights of each culture, providing a truly enchanting experience.
To create an authentic seasonal atmosphere, a Christmas Eve Dinner will also be organized.
