More stranded Lankans return home

Another group of 152 Sri Lankans stranded overseas due to the COVID-19 pandemic, returned to the country early Tuesday morning (11), according to Airport officials.

A group of 110 Sri Lankans returned from India, and another 42 returned from Doha in Qatar, the Duty Manager at the Bandaranaike International Airport said.

On Monday, a group of 176 stranded Sri Lankans returned. They comprised 148 Lankans, who returned from Narita in Japan, and another 28, who returned from Doha in Qatar.

All returning passengers were subjected to PCR tests and directed to quarantine centres.
