Moragoda seeks to establish cooperation with Delhi’s National Gallery of Modern Art
Sri Lanka High Commissioner to India Milinda Moragoda has begun discussions with the Indian National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) in New Delhi to explore the contours of an exchange of exhibitions between the two countries. The NGMA is India’s premier gallery of modern art and operates under the auspices of its Ministry of Culture. Among its extensive collection are works by India’s most important artists including Nandalal Bose from the Bengal School of art.
Moragoda has held several rounds of discussions with the museum’s Director-General Adwaita Gadanayak, to develop a programme of action. Gadanayak, is also one of India’s leading sculptors whose works include several iconic national monuments in India.
