Mister International 2023- happening in Thailand

The scene in Thailand is certainly heating up, not only where entertainment is concerned, but also in reality.On the evening of 7th September, a massive fire erupted at the Four Regions Floating Market, in Pattaya, quickly engulfing the market due to its primarily wooden structures.

They say the fire left a path of destruction in its wake, particularly affecting the waterside restaurants and shops, resulting in substantial estimated damages reaching tens of millions of baht.

This scene cropped up just a couple of days after the Pattaya Nightlife Business Association, held a crucial meeting, to try to enhance the tourist experience by calling on the government to extend nightlife service hours to 24/7.

However, what is now the focus of attention, in Thailand, is the Mister International 2023 contest which is to take place this Sunday, 17th of September, in Bangkok.

Sri Lanka is in it, too, represented by 19-year-old Christian de Zilwa, who is said to be the youngest in the competition.

Brian Kerkoven, well known in the scene here for his involvement in the fashion and modelling industry, was responsible for Christian’s selection to represent Sri Lanka.

Christian is a Peterite, 6ft. 3ins. in height, and is a model by profession.He is also very studious, having got through his A/L with three As.Christian left last week for Thailand, and is now involved in various activities, connected with the grand finale, to be held this Sunday.

The sashing ceremony was held in Bangkok and, according to reports, it was an enchanting evening in the heart of Bangkok, with each contestant having to step into the spotlight, surrounded by the vibrant Thai media and a global audience.

Christian, I’m told, has been quite impressive, with his charm and charisma … with Brian Kerkoven playing a major role in having Christian groomed and ready to compete with people at the top of their games.

Brian is the franchise holder for Mister International, along with Miss Grand International, Top Model of the World, Super Model International and Mister Global Teen.

To date, he has had two of his nominees reach the Top 16, internationally.Brian says he always maintains the highest standards, and professionalism, where his pageants are concerned, unlike what one sees on social media where even the sash is worn the wrong way!
