Ministers must learn from President

Published

on

According to newspapers, the President’s Office has requested people not to invite President Rajapaksa for private functions, saying his daily duties revolve around resolving the problems faced by the people. Think of the time spent by him to get ready, travel time both up and down, and other preparations such as provision of security and so on, if the President has to attend award ceremonies, weddings and other functions. It is a good move by the President, as he could instead use his precious time to solve the people’s problems which have very badly escalated post Covid pandemic.

This is to recommend that the Cabinet of Ministers should follow in the footsteps of the President by refraining from attending private functions, and to put to better use their time to troubleshoot various problems faced by the people.
