Million jobs lost in construction industry

About a million jobs had been lost in the construction industry due to the current economic crisis, the Parliament media unit has said.

This was revealed when the Sectoral Oversight Committee on alleviating the impact of the economic crisis met in Parliament.

Many construction companies have gone bankrupt, and a large number of professionals have left the country.

Industry representatives also presented a document detailing over 50 problems they currently face.

The Committee decided to ask the relevant ministries to immediately lower the price of construction materials.
