ITF Junior Circuit Week I Tennis tournament

Methvan Wijemannea advanced to the boys’ singles final with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Devesh Sarawanan of Malaysia in the semi-final of the ITF Junior Circuit Week I Tennis tournament continued at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Thursday.

In the other semi-final, Vichinthaya Nilaweera conceded a 6-1, 6-2 defeat at the hands of Kevin Titus Suresh of India.

Later Nilaweera joined Wijemanne to secure a final berth in the boys doubles final with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Hung jui Chen and Shang  en Kao of Taipei.In the girls singles, Dinara de Silva suffered a 6-3, 7-5 defeat.
