Methwan, Dinethya win age group singles finals  

Royal College player Methwan Wijemanne and Dinethya Dharmaratne won their age group singles titles of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association conducted Hard Court Nationals 2023.

WIjemanne beat Ganuka Fernando 5-3, 7-5 to win the Under 16 boys’ singles crown. In the Under 18 girls’ singles final held on Thursday, Dinethya Dharmaratne beat Arushi Thomas 6-3, 6-2 to clinch the title.

Meanwhile, Methwan Wijemanne joined Sandas Usgodaarachchi to beat Anujan Abeywickrama and Hasal Ahangama 6-4, 7-6 in the Under 18 boys’ doubles.
