Melantha elected MAF President

Versatile musician and founder member of the popular music outfit ‘Mirage’ Melantha Perera was elected the President of the Moratuwa Arts Forum (MAF) at it’s annual general Meeting held at Moratuwa recently.Melantha is a founder member of the Forum has many new plans to take the organisation to new heights with a system change to gain more global exposure to the MAF members and through constant engagements in the international arena.

The rest of the committee comprises Janadari Salgado (Senior Vice President), Viranjan Perera (Vice President), Stephanie Fernando (Secretary), Gunadasa Fernando (Asst. Secretary), Laksiri Fernando (Treasurer), Suranga Fernando (Asst. Treasurer), Lucky Deva (Immediate Past President) and committee members Tilak Perera, Neelesh Silva, Lakma Salgado, Varuni Cooray and Ruth Silva.

The Advisory Panel re-elected unanimously comprises Lankika Perera, Brian Coorey, Sarath Goonawardene and Priya Peiris.The MAF was founded in 1994 with award winning popular actor, the late Asoka Peiris as its first president. (HG)
