by Reemus Fernando
Sri Lanka Under 19 spinner Treveen Mathew bagged twelve wickets to lead St. Anthony’s to an innings and three runs victory over St. Servatius’ in the Under 19 match which ended with a session to spare at Katugastota on Wednesday.
In their second essay the visitors did well to better their first innings performance but their batting efforts led by Hasitha Amarasinghe could not make St. Anthony’s bat again.
Sri Lanka Under 19 player Mathew played the key role in restricting the visitors as he took six wickets each in the two innings.
Incidentally, Mathew is playing his first Under 19 season for St. Anthony’s.
