Mathew Abeysinghe: Sri Lanka’s swimmer at Tokyo Olympics

Swimmer Mathew Abeysinghe will represent Sri Lanka in the men’s 100m free style at the Tokyo Olympics which will commence in nine days in the capital city of Japan.

It is the second consecutive Olympics for the swimmer who has represented Sri Lanka at numerous other international events including Commonwealth Youth Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and South Asian Games.

The 25-year-old has 14 gold medals from the last two South Asian Games and that is the highest haul of golds by a Sri Lankan.
