Major accolades for high-achieving organizations in industrial field

“The National Industrial Excellence Awards 2022,” organised by the Industrial Development Board under the direction of the Ministry of Industries, was held under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Waters Edge in Battaramulla.

The most outstanding performers received the Platinum Award from the President at the awards ceremony in the categories of best small, medium and large- scale manufacturing industries and the best machinery manufacturers.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards were presented to 20 large, small and medium scale industries at the awards ceremony. A Gold, Silver and Bronze award was also presented under the category of micro industries.

Three industry luminaries and three public sector companies were also honored with the Special Recognition Award for their contribution to the automotive industry.

Overall, 132 outstanding performers in the industrial sector were honoured at this year’s awards ceremony. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Industries Minister Wimal Weerawansa were among those who presented the awards.
