Maithripala, Sajith, Anura demand Prez, PM quit immediately

SLFP leader Maithripala Sirisena, SJB leader Sajith Premadasa and JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday (13) demanded that both President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Premier Ranil Wickremesinghe resign immediately.

They held the President and the PM responsible for the worsening crisis. The party leaders urged the armed forces and the police to act with restraint and not to carry out illegal orders issued by the incumbent administration.They issued statements in the wake of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa leaving the country. SLFP, SJB and JVP leaders vowed to defeat the Rajapaksa-Wickremesinghe alliance.
