Mahinda pledges to support Ranil

Former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, MP, yesterday said that he would support President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s efforts to provide relief to the people.

Rajapaksa said that he was ready to work with the new President to address the grievances of the people. Rajapaksa quit the premiership on May 09 in the wake of protests, govt goon attack on protesters at Galle Face and well-planned counter attacks carried out by organized gangs across the country.

MP Rajapaksa said that he was confident that the administration under Wickremesinghe would be able to meet the daunting challenges.
