Madhavi too sent for quarantine after attending b’day party

Five more individuals including Madhavi Wathsala, who were arrested yesterday morning for violating quarantine laws by attending the birthday party at Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo on May 30, were sent for quarantine after being released on bail.

 They have been sent to a quarantine centre in Passara for 14 days. Mother of Chandimal Jayasinghe, who was also arrested has been allowed to quarantine at home. 

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that so far 21 had been arrested for attending the party. One suspect was avoiding arrest. (RK)
