Love-Agony Ever-green

It’s been a two-decade absence,

But this parental love-agony endures,

For Disappeared sons and daughters,

Now off the record in mass graves,

And blithely labeled ‘terrorists’,

To suit the popular palette,

But mark we must this ever-green love,

Of the mother for her missing child,

For, it’s a thing of lasting beauty,

In an Isle of benighted horizons.
