Loss-making CPC pays hefty festival advance, bonus to its employees numbering thousands

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has decided to give a Rs. 30,000 festival advance to each of its employees next week.

The festival advance will be given until the New Year bonus is paid.

Earlier Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) employees had been paid the festival advance.

A senior CPC official told The Island that these advances and bonuses would be paid in rupees and that it won’t affect CPC’s ability to import fuel.
