Litro contributes Rs. 1.5 bn as dividends to Treasury
Litro Gas Lanka, one of the two leading suppliers of Liquefied Petroleum (LP) gas in the country, has contributed Rs. 1.5 billion, as dividends, to the Treasury through its primary shareholder, Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation (SLIC), President’s Media Division said.
Litro Chairman Muditha Peiris handed over a cheque of Rs.1.5 billion to the Treasury from its 2023 profits.
The cheque was handed over to Sagala Ratnayaka, the President’s Senior Adviser on National Security at the Presidential Secretariat on Friday. Litro Gas handed over three billion rupees in dividends to the Treasury in 2023, PMD said.
