Lions donate 300 orthopedic mattresses

The Lions Club of Colombo Ceylon Excellence (Lions Clubs International District 306C2) and Dubai Ceylon Lions Club recently donated 300 orthopedic mattresses to Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva, at the Office of CDS.

The donation was handed over to CDS on the advice of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Chief Advisor/Patron and Honorary Member of Lions Club of Colombo Ceylon Excellence.

The mattresses, estimated to be worth Rs.24 mn, is to be distributed among the needy/medical institutions continuing the social responsibility of the Seva Vanitha Branch of OCDS in due course.

Officials of the Lions Club International 306 C2 Lion President Ayesh de Silva, Club Secretary Lion Prasad Weerakoon, Cabinet Secretary District 306 C1 Lion Samith Mapalagama, Deputy Treasurer Lion Victoria Thissera and the Board Director Lion Hapugala attended the event.
