Leos of the Kalubowila Leo Club (KLC) together with their counterparts at the University of Zimbabwe organised Embrace Diversity Culture Exchange programme on Dec 13 to share and value diverse yet beautiful differences in the two cultures.

The KLC has said in a media statement: “It is well known that the inability to value and respect various cultures have led to various rifts and disrespect among communities and countries. It was amazing to know about the Ndebele, Tonga and Maniyak cultures in Zimbabwe along with the art, languages and food that made their country unique while the Kalubowila Leos shared a glimpse of Sri Lankan culture in the same manner. The programme was much enjoyable having both cultures sing two songs each in their mother tongue. This programme was a great effort taken to educate our Leos that all humans should be treated equally, irrespective of their differences.”
