Leopard killed in road accident in Jaffna
Third one in six months

A leopard died on Monday night when it was knocked down by a vehicle on a road at Thondamanaru, Jaffna.
Villagers say that those who travelled in the vehicle threw the body into a nearby shrub. This is the third leopard killed in the area during the last six months.
Residents of the area say that vehicles travel on this stretch of the road at high speeds and a number of wild animals are killed in accidents.
