Lending agencies in roundtable conference with govt: PMD
Representatives from multilateral organisations operating in Sri Lanka took part in a roundtable discussion with President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena and senior government officials on Tuesday (31) on Sri Lanka’s economic reforms.
The Presidential Media Division (PMD) said representatives from the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Monetary Fund, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, Japan International Cooperation Agency, USAID, European Union, and the United Nations had attended the discussions, which were a sequel to a meeting held on December 2022, the PMD said.
The focus of the discussions was on the government’s reform programmes aimed at economic recovery and sustainable growth, the PMD said.
