LAUNCH OF “ARCHITECT 2024”
In the hope of developing the built environment in the country and identifying today’s social, economic and environmental goals, the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects launched Architect 2024, Architects’ Work, Lifestyle & Trade Exhibition at Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo last week (25).
To a distinguished audience that represented by its stakeholders the evening’s proceedings will be set in motion with a welcome speech by President SLIA, Archt. Rohana Bandara Herath, FIA (SL),followed by an overview of the oldest and the most grandest 42nd Exhibition in the building industry and its content by the committee.
The Architect 2024 is a much awaited and sought after event in the beginning of each year in the construction industry. We cannot achieve the goals set for each year without our trusted sponsors who have been with SLIA and the support given by the print and electronic media throughout the good and difficult times.
Today, with the country facing with many challenges next year’s theme “Resilience, Resourcefulness, Revival (RRR): A formula for recovery.” Architects 2024 examines how architects’ influence communities and shape the future emphasizing the importance of these concepts in the face of adversity and change.
The aim of the Architects’ work, lifestyle and trade exhibition is to increase public awareness, access and interaction, with greater emphasis given to local entrepreneurs and locally manufactured building materials as well as importers.
A stallholders briefing by SLIA will be held on February 09, 2024 at the BMICH at which stallholders will be briefed and provided related documents and information on their participation with the opportunity given to clarify their concerns.
Architect 2024 Architects’ Work, Lifestyle & Trade Exhibition is scheduled for the 23rd to 25th February 2024 at the BMICH complex and opens to the public daily from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm. The opening ceremony will be in the evening of 22nd February 2024.
