Lasantha de Silva to head Sri Lanka chapter of SJF

The Executive Committee of the South Asian Association of Reporters Club and Journalists Forum (SJF) on Monday (2) approved a 15 member committee headed by senior journalist Lasantha de Silva to manage SJF’s Sri Lanka Chapter. Lasantha is the convenor of the Free Media Movement (FMM).
The vision and mission of SAARC Journalist Forum (SJF) is to organise journalists of the SAARC region to fight for press and expression freedom, rights of journalists, to strengthen the quality, reach and viability of journalism and to improve the quality of life of journalists.
