Lankan origin teen wins New York Post essay contest

 Sri Lankan origin teenage student Akash Perera has won an essay competition organized by the New York Post.The award winning essay titled ‘Dress Rehearsal: How uniform codes prepare students for life beyond high school’ by Perera was published by the New York Times on Tuesday (07).Perera (17) is a student at Monsignor Farrell High school and lives with his parents in New York.
