Lanka seeks an opportunity to export fruits to Thailand

Sri Lanka is seeking an opportunity to export several types of fruits to Thailand. According to a Foreign Ministry press release, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Thailand and Permanent Representative to UNESCAP Chaminda Colonne recently discussed with Deputy Director-General of the Department of Agriculture Dr. Pongthai Thaiyothin on the progress of the application to open the Thai market for five types of Sri Lankan fruits. These fruits are fresh fire coconut, woodapple, pineapple, dragon fruit, and Scotch Bonnet pepper. The meeting was held at the Department of Agriculture of Thailand.
