Lanka IOC awarded Best Integrated Annual Report 2019-20
The Annual report for the year 2019-20 of Lanka IOC PLC was recently awarded the best Integrated Report award under Power & Energy sector in “CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards-2020” by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka.
Integrated Reporting in Annual Reports is widely recognized as a process of creating corporate value and sustainability to organizations. It is influencing the way organizations think, plan and report the activities of their businesses. Organizations are using Integrated Reporting in Annual report to communicate a clear, concise, integrated story that explains how all of their resources are creating value. IR also helps the businesses to think holistically about their strategy and plans, make informed decisions and manage key risks to build investor and stakeholder confidence and improve future performance.
LIOC prepared its Annual Report with Integrated Reporting guidelines as set out by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The nominations were evaluated by eminent panel of judges like Mr. Graham Terry-Prof of Practice university of Johnannesburg on IR and Integrated Thinking & Prof Prof Ho. Yew Kee – Professor of Accounting & Associate Provost Singapore University of Technology.
Mr Manoj Gupta, MD, LIOC received the award in a virtual Award ceremony held by the Institute at Colombo. The dignitaries Mr Rajeeva Banadaranayke, DG, CSE & Prof L R Watawala President, CMA Sri Lanka were present in the award cermony.
Lanka IOC has always been in forefront in adopting the best practices for transparency & disclosure for the value creation to all stakeholders on sustainable basis. This was the 5th Integrated Annual report published by Lanka IOC & has been regularly recognised as among the Best Annual reports by the leading Professional institute bodies.
