Lanka Hospitals – the ‘first’ private hospital to hold a virtual AGM
Lanka Hospitals became the first private hospital to hold a virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) recently. The AGM was held in the presence of Lanka Hospitals’ Board of Directors led by Chairman, Dr. Bandula Wijesiriwardena and Senior Management at the hospital auditorium. Lanka Hospitals’ shareholders for the first time participated in the AGM by connecting online via ZOOM.
“The virtual AGM was held this year for the first time due to COVID-19 and to prevent any possible spread of infection. Ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors and staff at Lanka Hospitals is our utmost priority and therefore we chose to conduct the AGM virtually to practice safe social distancing measures,” Lanka Hospitals’ Group CEO, Deepthi Lokuarachchi stated.
