Lanka Hospitals conducts capping ceremony for new medical nurses
Lanka Hospitals Nursing School (LHNS) recently organised ‘The Capping Ceremony’ of its 2019 batch of nurses. Having inaugurated in 2001, LHNS trains around 60 nurses each year and the 2019 batch consisted of 52 nurses. Lanka Hospitals Nursing School is the first nursing school in Sri Lanka to use newly developed the NVQ level-6 Higher National Diploma curriculum.
Being the main source of nurses to Lanka Hospital for the past 18 years, the nursing school has a very successful track record with a graduating rate of 100%. With curriculum lectures fully conducted in English and a high standard maintained in the training plus a job assurance at Lanka Hospitals upon completion, the nursing course is one of the best available in Sri Lanka.
The LHNS’s training program in General Nursing prepares students to become general nurses. After successful completion of the general nursing program, they become qualified to join the Nursing Department of Lanka Hospitals.
