L B Finance emerged with the highest number of awards achieved by a single entity at the prestigious TAGS Awards 2022, organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) to recognise excellence in annual corporate reporting, encompassing aspects of Transparency, Accountability, Governance and Sustainability.

As testament to its holistic approach towards reporting, the company continued to maintain its momentum by clinching accolades from three of the four categories awarded at the event.

In a noteworthy achievement, L B Finance was ranked among the top three brands in Sri Lanka for the third consecutive year by receiving the Bronze Award for “Overall Excellence in Corporate Reporting”, while retaining its top position within Non-Bank Financial Institution, by winning the Gold Award for the fifth consecutive year.

Once again, L B Finance received recognition for its commitment to extend greater accessibility and convenience to stakeholders through its digital reporting journey, with the company garnering the Gold Award for the “Most Transformative and Digitalized Annual Report” at the ceremony which was held on the 6th of December 2022 at the Shangri-La Hotel. This marked the second time the company had bagged the award since its introduction last year.

The company also received the Bronze Award for Excellence in “Corporate Governance Disclosures”, and was ranked second in “Sustainability Reporting”, demonstrating the organisation’s unwavering commitment towards accountability, good governance, and social and environmental responsibility.

Formerly known as the Annual Report Awards, the TAGS Awards has long been renowned as one of Sri Lanka’s pre-eminent award ceremonies that recognises corporate bodies for elevating the standards of financial and sustainability reporting year-on-year, while assessing their effectiveness in terms of stakeholder communication.
