A group of 62 Sri Lankans, including three men, deported from Kuwait, returned to the island yesterday (28). Authorities said that they had been deported after being found working without valid visas.

The group was deported from Kuwait using temporary passports prepared by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kuwait, a spokesman for the Embassy said.

The official said that the Sri Lankans had run away from the houses they had been sent to and subsequently moved to temporary hostels.
