Kusal Mendis strokes unbeaten century

Kusal Mendis, with an unbeaten 132 runs, marked the resumption of the Premier League Tier A Tournament on Monday. Cricket tournaments had been halted for five months due to the covid 19 pandemic. Mendis put on an unbroken fifth wicket stand of 79 runs with Wanindu Hasaranga for CCC to post 353 for four wickets at stumps against Ragama in the Super Eight match at Katunayake.

Mendis stroked 18 fours in his knock. Hasaranga was unbeaten on 51 runs.

Meanwhile, Chanaka Ruwansiri scored 124 runs laced with four fours and nine sixes in Lankan Cricket Club first inning total of 270 runs against Negombo Cricket Club. Negombo were 64 for three wickets at stumps in their match at Moratuwa.
