Kotahena Sri Radha Krishna Temple celebrates Krishna Jayanthi

The Kotahena Sri Radhakrishna Temple will celebrate Krishna Jayanthi on September 9.

Sri Krishna Jayanthi is a colourful festival celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna.

Devotees of Lord Krishna observe a strict fast on this day and take Prasadam (Food offered to the Lord) only after the Abhisekam to the Deity of the Lord in the night. They offer prayers to the Lord for happiness, wealth and wellness of the country.

There will be Pooja, Bhajan and Prayers at the Temple from 6.00 am until evening. The Krishna Prasadam (food offered to the God) will be distributed among the devotees at 8.00 pm.

Devotees who attend the Poojas are requested to wear face masks and follow hygiene and social distancing rules.
