Kodikamam police recover recently dumped Tiger claymore mines from forest

Kodikamam Police on Thursday (16) detected two claymore mines, produced by the LTTE, in a forest in Varani Kudamiyan. The police believe that these were dumped there recently.

The police were acting on a tip- off, and one bomb weighed about 15 kilos. These bombs were called Captain Bawan – IA 99 bombs by the LTTE. Given that these bombs have been placed there recently, the STF and the Kodikamam Police are trying to identify those responsible.
