Kithnula, Kuruppu clear first hurdle

105th Colombo Championships

Wenuka Kithnula and Hesara Kuruppu advanced from the first round of the Men’s Singles by registering wins on day one of the 105th Colombo Championships at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association clay courts on Friday.

Kithnula beat Manesh Kajan 6-2, 6-3 and Kuruppu beat Sandaru Guruge 7-5, 6-3.
