Kiran reaches boys singles final  

Kiran Viravanathan beat Max Pade of Germany to reach the boys’ singles final of the ITF Junior Circuit event at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Friday.

Viravanathan beat Max Pade6-0, 1-6, 6-2 in the semi-final to meet Lorant Gyori of Hungary in the final.  Lorant Gyori reached the final after beating Jason David of India. In the girls’ singles semi-finals, Rio Wakayama of Japan beat Sirena Was (GBR) 7-5, 0-6, 6-2 and Miyu Kageyam of Japan beat Sreenidhi Reddy of India 6-7, 6-1, 6-2.

In the girls’ doubles semi-finals, Saajida Razick and Dinara de Silva recorded a 6-0, 6-1 win against their Indian counterparts to book a berth in the final.
